Kris Beerts

Ing. Beerts started his career in 1992 as software developer at Materialise NV where he developed the first version of Magics, a software solution suite for the Rapid Prototyping industry which contributed to Materialise becoming a dominant international player in this market. With the acquired experience in the field of image analysis, Mr. Beerts became Technical Director at Quadrox, a Video Surveillance Specialist, where he was responsible for the development of Digital Video Recorders. In October 2001, Mr. Beerts constituted with 3 partner engineers the company ASDK, specialized in Digital Video Consultancy and serving customers such as General Electric, Q8, XTralis, bpost, KBC, ING, Dexia, Santec, and SERIS. In 2011 ASDK was acquired by SERIS and in october 2011, Mr. Beerts was appointed as CTO of SERIS R&D division.

SERIS is currently active in France, Belgium and Netherlands and groups more then 8500 employees. The SERIS R&D division is specialized in integrated electronic security. The R&D division develops highly specialized access control and video surveillance related products. Besides in-house developed products the R&D division can provide development services on a variety of standard industry security platforms.

SERIS is adopting the SmartPulse technology of Dialog and plans to use it as a core wireless technology for sensors, locks and much more products to come.
